AcqKnowledge 4.x is officially released for Windows 7 and Vista OS. AcqKnowledge has not been rigorously tested on Windows XP.

If you choose to install and run AcqKnowledge 4 under Windows XP, note that…

• The default file storage location will be C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersBIOPAC Systems, IncAcqKnowledge 4.x
• The file “Filmstudio.dll” may cause AcqKnowledge 4 crashes to desktop.

In such cases, a file modification in the directory is suggested:

1. Navigate to C:Program FilesBIOPAC Systems, IncAcqKnowledge 4.xPlugins
2. Insert an underscore character before Filmstudio.dll in order to “turn off” the file.
3. Reboot the computer.
4. Launch AcqKnowledge.

If the software does not start again, move the file Filmstudio.dll to the desktop or another folder location, then restart the program.
