Connecting Calibration Gas Tanks & Mixing Chambers

  • Dec, 13, 2016

When using calibration gas tanks with a mixing chamber—such as the AFT15 or the GASSYS2 system—an interface is required between the gas tank barbed ports and the mixing chamber’s Luer lock female port. Here is a suggested method.

  1. Acquire 3-6 feet of 1/8″ ID silicon tubing ANDĀ a 1/8ā€ barb to male Luer connector (polycarbonate).

  1. Assemble the male Luer-lock into one end of the silicon tubing.
  1. Push the other open end of the tubing into the barb port of the gas regulator.
  1. Interface theĀ AFT20 filter disk end and without the Y-connector that comes with it, to the male Luer-lock connector.
  1. Connect the AFT20 male Luer-lock to the female Luer-lock port of the mixing chamber.
