Excel files exported from BIOPAC software open in Excel ‘Protected View’

Issue: Excel files generated by AcqKnowledge or Biopac Student Lab open with ‘Protected View’ in Excel.

Resolution: (Depending on the IT policies in place, you may require administrator privileges to implement this.)

  1. Launch Excel
  2. Choose File > Options
  3. Click ‘Trust Center’
  4. Click the Trust Center Settings button in the right-hand panel.
  5. Click on ‘File Block Settings’ and disable (un-check) the box next to Excel 2 Worksheets.
  6. Click OK on all open dialogs to close them.

Next time you generate an Excel file from AcqKnowledge or BSL it will open normally, without protected view.
