Description
The Dual Wireless EGG BioNomadix Pair consists of a matched transmitter and receiver module specifically designed to measure Electrogastrogram (EGG) data—the peristaltic, wavelike contractions of the stomach—on one or both channels. These units interface with the MP200 (or older MP160/MP150) data acquisition and analysis platform and AcqKnowledge software, allowing advanced analysis for multiple applications and supporting acquisition of a broad range of signals and measurements.
EGG signal data is transmitted at a rate of 2,000 Hz, providing an extremely high resolution EGG waveform at the receiver’s output. Raw data from the pair is bandlimited from 0.005 Hz to 1.0 Hz, to provide a very high quality recording. The matched pair incorporates internal highpass and lowpass filters to provide for high quality amplification of the EGG waveform with associated Electrical Control Activity (ECA) and Electrical Response Activity (ERA). The high signal to noise ratio and high time-based sampling resolution permit the pair to be used for specific gastric slow wave propagation measurements, gastrointestinal motility analysis, peristaltic propagation studies or migrating myoelectric complex evaluation.
