Description
The MR Safe Pressure Pad/Respiration Transducer (TSD110-MRI) requires no electrical connections inside the chamber and works on a number of body locations. The multipurpose assembly can be used to measure:
- Pulse when placed on a major pulse point
- Noninvasive respiration for infants or animals (see TSD221-MRI for adult human respiration)
- Small pressing forces (like pinching fingers) for Parkinson’s evaluations
- Human facial expressions (smiling, frowning, etc.)
- Measure swallowing (deglutition)
- Spacing and pressure between teeth coming together
- Startle blink response
The TSD110-MRI consists of a differential pressure transducer (TSD160B ±12.5 cm H2O), sensor (RX110-MRI; affix with TAPE1), and tubing (two AFT30-XL), and interfaces to an MP200/160/150 with DA100C amplifier. The differential pressure transducer is located in the Control room and the tubing passes through the waveguide to the sensor in the Chamber room.
MRI Use: MR Safe (see Specifications for components)
