Description
The Wireless Photo Plethysmogram (PPG) and Electrodermal Activity (EDA/GSR) BioNomadix module pair consists of a matched transmitter and receiver. The module combines these two measurements because they are typically performed on the same part of the body and they are often recorded in parallel for a variety of studies. Record one or both signals.
- The PPG channel measures Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) via optical plethysmographic methods and provides for heart rate, inter-beat interval and vasodilation/constriction data.Ā Heart Rate Variability (HRV) can be performed on the PPG signal data
- The EDA/GSR channelāalso known asĀ Electrodermal Response, Skin Conductance Activity/Response or Galvanic Skin Response (GSR)āprovides for indication of eccrine (skin sweating) activity.
These units interface with theĀ MP200 (or older MP160/MP150)Ā dataĀ acquisitionĀ andĀ analysis platform and AcqKnowledge software, allowing advanced analysisĀ for multipleĀ applicationsĀ and supporting acquisition of a broad range ofĀ signals and measurements.
